Energetic cord cutting does not mean that we're cutting someone out of our life completely, although this may be the case at times. Cord cutting is a way to give back someone else's energies and get back one's own. By doing this one may have a better relationship with said person. We can even cut cords with people who are no longer in our lives in the typical sense. Perhaps one has an ex partner who he or she still thinks about occasionally or perhaps the ex still thinks about you!
